PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer composition that sufficiently adapts fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) to an adhesive and can generate sufficient adhesive strength, and also provide a composite article that includes fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) that has been primed using such a primer composition.SOLUTION: This primer composition includes an epoxy and an aromatic compound that has a hydroxyl group. This composite article includes fiber-reinforced plastic, at least a part of the surface of the fiber-reinforced plastic being primed using the primer composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
