PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding material formed by welding clad materials to each other comprising two kinds of metals which have a large difference in melting point of 800°C or more, and a manufacturing method for the welding material.SOLUTION: There is a manufacturing method for a clad welding material comprising the steps of: 1) arranging two clad materials so that two end parts thereof face each other, the clad material comprising a first metal layer made of a first metal and a second metal layer made of a second metal, the second metal having a melting point higher than that of the first metal by 800°C or more and having no more than one-third of a thermal conductivity of the first metal; 2) while cooling a surface of the first metal layer, irradiating a part of a surface of the second metal layer with laser to melt a part of the second metal layer in at least one of the two end parts, and by heat transfer from the second metal, melting a part of the first metal layer in least one of the two end parts; and 3) forming solidified parts which connect unmelted parts of the two end parts by solidifying the melted first metal and the melted second metal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
