[Problem] To provide: a transverse seal-forming method capable of filling a liquid object to be packaged without gas bubbles, particles, etc. contained in the liquid object to be packaged intruding into the transverse seal and capable of improving productivity; and a fill packaging machine using said method. [Solution] A method for folding a packaging film, which is fed and driven, back at the center and forming a longitudinal seal on the side edge portion thereof to form the film in a tubular shape, filling a liquid object to be packaged inside said tubular packaging film, and forming transverse seals using a pair of transverse sealing rolls, wherein at least the fold back side of the tubular packaging film is pressed by pressing means provided between each of multiple heat sealing bars located at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of the transverse sealing rolls and transverse seals are formed at said pressing positions using the pair of transverse sealing rolls. |
