The present invention relates to a dishwasher (1) comprising: a tub (2), an article rack (3), a water intake valve (4), a sump (5), a pump (6), a spray arm (7), a user interface (8) and a heater. The dishwasher (1) of the present invention comprises a low water safety circuit (9) having a pressure switch (10) and a control unit (11) having a plurality of washing programs, wherein each washing program has a plurality of subordinate washing programs which are respectively adapted to different loads. The control unit (11) allows the user to designate a washing program and subsequently detects the load on the basis of the total amount of water required in order to wet the dishes in the washing tub (2). |
