PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film that has low moisture permeability and excellent adhesiveness of a low moisture permeable layer and suppresses blisters of the low moisture permeable layer which occurs upon cutting the film, a method for manufacturing the optical film, and a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device using the optical film.SOLUTION: The optical film includes a base film, a first layer, and a second layer, in this order. The first layer is formed by curing a curable composition for forming the first layer, which comprises a compound having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and has an elastic modulus of 1.0 to 5.0 GPa. The second layer is formed by curing a curable composition for forming the second layer, which comprises at least one of a compound having a cyclic aliphatic hydrocarbon group and an ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and a compound having a fluorene ring and an ethylenically unsaturated double bond.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
