PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated tool having high Al content rate and furthermore excellent in durability.SOLUTION: The coated tool is provided that comprises: a base material; and a hard film on a surface of the base material. The hard film is nitride or carbonitride including at least 75% or more and 85% or less of Al and 15% or more and 25% or less of Cr when whole of metal element contained in the hard film (semi metal is included) is 100 atom%, and the hard film satisfies the relationship in which an atom ratio A of the metal element (semi metal is included) and an atom ratio B of the nitrogen in the hard film is 1.02<B/A when total of the metal element (semi metal is included), nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon is 100 atom%. The hard film has a crystal structure which is a NaCl type, and in the hard film, intensity caused by a (111) face exhibits maximum intensity in an intensity profile obtained from an X-ray diffraction pattern or a selected-area diffraction pattern of a transmission-type electron microscope.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
