FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a deposit simulation method. In one aspect of the disclosure, the method includes initiating operation of a reservoir simulation mechanism and, after initiation of the operation of the simulation mechanism, retrieving data on the deposit from an external data source via a data network and using the retrieved data as part of the performed simulation. In some embodiments, a data deck may be provided to a simulation mechanism before initiating operation of the simulation mechanism.
