Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a gateway control method, device and system based on virtual machine (VM) migration for solving the problem of bandwidth resource waste caused by occupation of a bandwidth for a data transmission between devices conducted after the VM migration, the specific solution comprising: an SDN controller acquires an IP address and MAC address of a first VM gateway and a VTEP IP address of a second physical server; the SDN controller controls, according to the VTEP IP address of the second physical server, a second physical gateway to configure a second VM gateway for a VM on the second physical gateway, the IP address of the second VM gateway and the IP address of the first VM gateway being the same, and the MAC address of the second VM gateway and the MAC address of the first VM gateway being the same; and creating a first flow entry, such that the second VM gateway forwards data for the VM according to a data forwarding policy indicated by the first flow entry.
