Provided are: a cationic emulsion containing iodized oil; a use thereof for promoting gene delivery by a viral vector; a cationic emulsion-virus composite; and a medical composition comprising the same. According to the present invention, strong adhesion between the cationic emulsion and virus can completely block a surface charge of virus, and stabilizes the composite with virus, thereby increasing introduction and bonds of the viral vector into and on cells and remarkably enhancing the delivery rate of a treatment gene while reducing cytotoxicity. Therefore, the cationic emulsion, according to the present invention, can be useful as an auxiliary substance capable of increasing the gene delivery efficiency by the viral vector. Further, such composite of the cationic emulsion and the viral vector can be applied to a pharmaceutical composition for a gene therapy. To this end, the cationic emulsion contains, in a shell, 1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium propane (DOTAP), cholesterol, and distearoyl phosphatidylethanolamine-poly(ethylene glycol) (DSPE-PEG), whereas iodized oil is contained in a core. |
