PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the delay in displaying an image on a terminal device.SOLUTION: In a terminal device 40, a compressibility determination unit 424 determines compressibility of an inattention area in which a data volume is compressed, from the ratio between an attention area in which a data volume is uncompressed and the inattention area in an image which is made a transmission request to a medical image management system; a compression information notification unit notifies the medical image management system of compression information according to the compressibility; and a line speed detection unit 422 detects a communication speed between the terminal device 40 and the medical image management system. The compressibility determination unit 424 may determine the compressibility on the basis of the detected communication speed and the ratio between the attention area and the inattention area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
