PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control unit capable of highly accurately detecting that sensitivity of a cylinder internal pressure sensor is abnormal and correcting the sensitivity.SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine including a cylinder internal pressure sensor, the cylinder internal pressure sensor detects a cylinder internal pressure difference dP between two points in a heat insulation compression stroke period. A cylinder internal pressure difference dP_true between the two points is estimated on the basis of an intake air quantity and a fuel injection quantity of the internal combustion engine. If a difference |dP-dP_true| between the cylinder internal pressure difference dP and the cylinder internal pressure difference dP_true is greater than a predetermined value, it is determined that the sensitivity of the cylinder internal pressure sensor is abnormal. A detection value P of the cylinder internal pressure sensor is corrected on the basis of |dP-dP_true|.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
