A gas lighter having a valve housing 2 inserted into a fuel container 1, an adjusting ring 10 which can be screwed into the housing; a throttle disc 8 composed of porous material and the presence of which is adjustable by means of the adjusting ring, and a burner nozzle 16 provided at is lower end with valve sealing means 15 and mounted so as to be axially slidable in the adjusting ring is characterised by a hollow cyclinder 6 which projects upwardly from the base of the housing and in the upper end of which is arranged at least one throttle disc; a hollow cylindrical extension 11 provided on the adjusting ring, which extension has the same external diameter as the hollow cylinder and is adapted to press against the throttle disc by means of the bottom external surface 12 of its lower part, this lower end part being formed with an axial bore 13 and having a valve seating 14 formed on its upper internal surface; and a sealing valve 21 which surrounds the hollow cylinder and the hollow cylindrical extension. An annular cap 19 engages over the upper end of the adjusting ring and over a shoulder on the burner nozzle to limit the upward movement of the nozzle under the action of a spring 17. Two throttle discs 8 are provided separated by a disc 7 of metal or synthetic plastic material. |
