摘要 A method for generating a source-independent quantum random number, comprising the following steps: receiving, by a receiving end, a photonic signal transmitted by a source, and converting a multi-photon signal included in the photonic signal into an equivalent single-photon signal (S101); carrying out X-basic-vector or Z-basic-vector modulation on the single-photon signal, and randomly carrying out projection measurement on an X basic vector or a Z basic vector (S102); calculating an error rate according to a measurement result of the Z basic vector (S103); obtaining a partial random binary string according to a measurement result of the X basic vector (S104); and acquiring a minimum entropy of the partial random binary string, and post-processing same to obtain a complete random binary string (S105). The method does not need to depend on the hypothesis for a source, can generate a true random number guaranteed by quantum mechanics, can tolerate high channel loss and has a high practical value. Also provided is an apparatus for generating a source-independent quantum random number.
