An engine restart control apparatus includes an actuator that lifts a hood member with respect to a vehicle body, the hood member being openable and provided at a front part of the vehicle body; an economy running control part that automatically stops an engine when a stopping condition is satisfied and automatically restarts the engine when a restart condition is satisfied in an automatically stopped state of the engine; a pop-up hood control part that, when a pedestrian collides with a front side of the vehicle, activates the actuator to lift the hood member with respect to the vehicle body; and a restart inhibition part that, when the actuator is activated in an automatically stopped state of the engine during the vehicle travelling, inhibits the economy running control part from automatically restarting the engine during the vehicle travelling. |
