摘要 This technology relates to a signal processing device and signal processing method, a solid-state imaging element, an imaging device, an electronic instrument, and a program which make it possible to generate interpolated pixels in such a way that the occurrence of jaggedness can be suppressed, without blurring the image, using a small amount of computation. Two candidate lines are established in a horizontal direction and two candidate lines are established in a vertical direction, in such a way as to be in symmetrical positional relationships about a target pixel. The candidate lines are narrowed down to either those in the horizontal direction or those in the vertical direction, in accordance with a pattern to which the target pixel belongs. Further, search pixels on the candidate lines are narrowed down in accordance with the pattern. Block matching, using a block to which the target pixel belongs, is used to calculate a weight value on the basis of the degree of similarity between the block to be processed, and blocks which are equidistant from said block, and which have the same phase. Pixel values of interpolated pixels are generated by weighted addition using the pixel values on the candidate lines, and the weight values. This technology is applicable to imaging devices.
