METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING SOFTWARE-DEFINED NETWORKING (SDN)

Disclosed is a method for implementing software-defined networking (SDN). An SDN controller receives virtual network information sent by a cloud computing platform, the virtual network information comprising a correspondence between information of VMs and information of servers running the VMs; the SDN controller acquires physical network information, the physical network information comprising a correspondence between information of TOR switches and the information of the servers; and the SDN controller acquires a correspondence between the information of the VMs and the information of the TOR switches according to the virtual network information and the physical network information. In this way, physical forwarding paths can be established for virtual machines on a physical network to realize mapping from a virtual network to the physical network and better support self-service provisioning and on-demand adjustment of the SDN controller on the cloud computing platform.
