A display control apparatus enables a user to easily recognize that a selectable item is present except a displayed item, and to recognize without being confused that a target item has been touched. The apparatus displays an item group including a plurality of items which are a part of all items, displays a touched item in a selected state when a touch is detected on any item of the item group displayed in a display unit, and moves the displayed item of all the items in a direction for displaying an item that does not displayed in a direction of an end based on touch release when the touch release is detected, and a selected item is an end item of a displayed item group but is not an end item of all the items. |
