The present invention relates to a terminal homing method for a flight vehicle and an apparatus thereof, obtaining superior terminal homing performance in case the flight vehicle such as a guided missile closes on a target. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the terminal homing method for a flight vehicle, which is a method for homing the flight vehicle to a target in a terminal homing section, comprises: a step of previously setting an optimum guidance operation gain to allow the flight vehicle to arrive at the target at a minimum reception angle in the terminal homing section; a step of determining whether the flight vehicle flies in the terminal homing section based on the current position of the flight vehicle; a step of estimating the remaining flight time taken to fly from the current position of the flight vehicle to the target when the flight vehicle flies in the terminal homing section; a step of reading the preset guidance operation gain corresponding to the estimated remaining flight time; a step of calculating a wing drive command of the flight vehicle based on the preset guidance operation gain; and a step of driving a wing of the flight vehicle based on the wing drive command to allow the flight vehicle to arrive at the target at the minimum reception angle in the terminal homing section.
