SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A RELIABLE CONTENT EXCHANGE OF A CCN PIPELINE STREAM

The present invention relates to a reliable content exchange system and a method for a CCN pipeline stream. A client device can establish a reliable content exchange (RCX) session with a hosting service on a content centric network (CCN) to transmit a reliable pipeline stream of data to the hosting service. While operating, the client device can transmit certification data to the hosting service and initialize an RCX control channel with the hosting service. The client device can select content to be sent to the hosting service and use a control channel to transmit an exchange initializing request for establishing an exchange session to transmit content to the hosting service. The exchange initializing request contains a collection name combined with the selected content and an exchange identifier (XID) for the exchange session. The client device can receive an interest requiring a segment of the selected content on the exchange session and return a content object having payload containing the requested segments of content.
