PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display unit for a vehicle that maintains display quality even in a low-temperature environment.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 1 for a vehicle includes: a liquid crystal display unit 2 of a normally black method; temperature detection means 5 for detecting the temperature of the liquid crystal display unit 2; and control means 3 for controlling display of the liquid crystal display unit 2. The control means 3 has a correction function that, when the temperature detected by the temperature detection means 5 falls below a predetermined temperature (for example, 0°C), determines that the liquid crystal display device is driven in a low-temperature environment, and corrects the brightness of the liquid crystal display unit 2 so that the brightness decreases toward the four corners of the liquid crystal display unit 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
