PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material cutting device which can reduce wrong cut of sheet material and also can prevent reduction in production efficiency.SOLUTION: A sheet cutting device 1 includes: a cutting blade 11; a receiving table 31 receiving the cutting blade 11; a sheet material transferring mechanism 50 transferring a sheet material 5; cutting blade moving means 21 moving the cutting blade 11; position detection means 25 detecting the position of the cutting blade 11 at a time point to stop movement because the cutting blade 11 gets in touch with the receiving table 31; and receiving table moving means 41 shifting the receiving table 31 in a blade width direction of the cutting blade 11. The receiving table 31 is moved in the blade width direction so as to receive the cutting blade 11 in an area different from a conventional one when the position of the cutting blade 11 detected by the position detection means 25 gets out of the prescribed scope as a scope where good cutting can be performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
