The present invention is to increase convenience of a user by transferring an intended touch input of the user to an application except an unintended touch input of the user. An electronic device for processing a touch input is disclosed. The electronic device comprises: a display having first and second areas which are functionally divided; a determination module for determining an occurring point of a touch input; and a process module set to process the touch input according to a status of the electronic device, when the occurring point is positioned inside the second area. Besides, other embodiments understood through the specification are possible.
