The present invention relates to a seawater treatment apparatus which can prevent marine organisms in seawater from adhering to piping equipment, and to a seawater treatment method. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a seawater treatment apparatus may comprise: a first sea chest and a second sea chest to which seawater inflows; a seawater treatment unit which converts the seawater in the first sea chest into treated seawater; and a seawater circulating unit which is arranged between the first sea chest and the second sea chest and connects the first sea chest and the second sea chest. The seawater circulating unit transfers the treated seawater in the first sea chest to the second sea chest and converts the seawater in the second chest into the treated seawater. The seawater treatment apparatus and the seawater treatment method of the present invention can treat seawater with one seawater treatment unit and thus can reduce installation expenses. |
