When a communication apparatus, which is included in a wireless network using an ad hoc routing protocol, receives a Hello message of OLSR from another communication apparatus in the wireless network, a wireless link control unit of a data link layer (MAC layer) analyzes an IP packet and a MAC frame that were used for transmitting the Hello message, acquires the IP address and MAC address of the communication apparatus of transmission source, and sets (registers) an address entry, in which the IP address and MAC address of the communication apparatus of transmission source have been associated with each other, to an ARP table of a network layer via an ARP information managing/setting unit. |
