The present invention discloses a compact drain trap which is characterized in that a fluted tube is unitary with a compact body, said fusion allowing a body portion of a traditional drain trap to be removed by up to 45%, which is advantageous in that, due to its smaller size and space-saving features, the risks presented by water leaks caused by a drain trap misadjustment resulting from impacts or movements are reduced. A reduction in the size of the drain trap is also more convenient in that it provides the user with an enhanced amount of space useful for other consumers ‘needs, such as storage of bath products or diverse articles. The fusion of the fluted threaded tube and the compact body, as well as the novel elements described above, prevent water from being trapped between the constituent parts thereof, thereby avoiding the water to leak and produce malodors derived from water stagnation as occurs with traditional drain traps. |
