Provided are an electronic device which can easily verify received data or notification information, and a method for providing a notification of an electronic device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for providing a notification of an electronic device comprises the following operations of: receiving notification information of a first application; generating a first notification information display page including at least a part of the notification information; generating a first object related to the notification information and a summary information display page including the first object; displaying the summary information display page through a display; and displaying the first notification information display page based on a user input signal on the first object. The operations of generating and displaying the summary information display page and the first notification information display page are executed on the basis of the same application.
