The present invention relates to an advertising medium for taximeter, which comprises: a wireless communication unit; a control unit which enables a taxi basic information screen to be displayed, compares current location information through a GPS with pre-stored specific location information, clears the taxi basic information screen if the current location information becomes identical to the pre-stored specific location information, transmits a request for advertisement information corresponding to a surrounding location to a server through the wireless communication unit, receives and displays the requested advertisement information, checks the time of a timer if the current location information is different from the pre-stored location information, clears the taxi basic information screen whenever a set time has elapsed, transmits a request for basic advertisement information to the server through the wireless communication unit, and receives and displays the requested basic advertisement information; and an information output unit which outputs the taxi basic information screen and the advertisement information under the control of the control unit. The advertising medium for taximeter provides an advertisement in comparison to conventional products that do not provide advertisements, thereby enabling a user to expect a creative value-added advertising effect. If an advertisement is output when a customer concentrates on a taximeter to check taxi fares, the concentration will be higher in comparison to any other advertisement. |
