For efficient session charging for the delivery of a service associated with a communication established by a communication device (CD) within a telecommunications network (TN), a server receives a request (CCR-I) for session initialization coming from a network element capable of generating charging events while monitoring the communication's use of the network's resources, reserves a given amount of time units in one slice, generates an answer (CCA) containing an indication that the session can continue and that the server will handle regular reserve, and sends the answer (CCA) to the network element. |
