PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery suppressed in temperature rise when an internal short-circuit occurs, as compared with the conventional ones, while maintaining excellent battery characteristics.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which an electrode body including a positive electrode and a negative electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte are accommodated in a battery case. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode collector and a positive electrode mixture layer formed on the collector and including a positive electrode active material. In the positive electrode mixture layer, the moisture content detected after an elapse of 30 minutes at 120°C by a Karl Fischer method is 300 ppm or less, and the moisture content detected after an elapse of 30 minutes at 300°C by the method is 3,000 ppm or more and 10,000 ppm or less. |
