<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt unit that enables reliable regulation of the deviation of an endless belt in the belt width direction. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer unit 10, which is a belt unit, includes: an intermediate transfer belt 10e; a driving roller 10f; an opposing roller 10g; a tension roller 10h; rolls 41 provided on the end parts of the driving roller 10f; and idler gears 43 for transmitting a driving force to the rolls 41. Also, the belt unit is constituted such that: a dimension Q1 in the belt width direction Z, orthogonal to the belt conveying direction B, of the intermediate transfer belt 10e is set to be shorter than a sum total dimension Q2 which is the sum of the dimension in the belt width direction Z of the driving roller 10f on which the rolls 41 are provided and the dimension in the belt width direction Z of the rolls 41; and a circumferential speed of the rolls 41 is set to be slower than that of the driving roller 10f which has the rolls 41 provided on the ends part thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
