A sequential combustor arrangement (100) comprising a first burner (112), a first combustion chamber (101), a mixer arrangement (117) for admixing a dilution air to the hot gases leaving the first combustion chamber (101) during operation, a second burner (113), and a second combustion chamber (102) arranged sequentially in a fluid flow connection. The mixer (117) is adapted to guide combustion gases in a hot gas flow path extending between the first combustion chamber (101), wherein the second burner (113) comprising a duct having an inlet at an upstream end adapted for connection to the first combustion chamber and an outlet at a downstream end adapted for connection to the second burner (113). The mixer (117) comprises at least one group of injection pipes (114, 115) pointing inwards from the side walls (119) of the mixer (117) for admixing the dilution air to cool the hot flue gases leaving the first combustion chamber (101). The injection pipes (114, 115) are distributed circumferentially along the side walls (119) of the mixer (117) and wherein the injection pipes (114, 115) having a conical or quasi-conical shape addressed to the center of the mixer (117). |
