The invention relates to a strand guiding element (1) for guiding a strand (2) in a strand casting machine. The aim of the invention is to provide a structurally simple strand guiding element (1) for guiding the strand (2) in a strand casting machine, said strand guiding element being automatically adaptable to different strand sizes. This is achieved by a strand guiding element (1) comprising - a traverse (3) with a first end region (3a), an intermediate region (3b), and a second end region (3c), at least one first strand guiding roller (6, 7) being rotatably mounted in the intermediate region of the traverse (3b); - a first rocker (4) with a first end region (4a), an intermediate region (4b), and a second end region (4c), wherein a second strand guiding roller (8) is rotatably mounted in the intermediate region of the first rocker (4b) and the second end region of the traverse (3c) is hinged to the first end region of the first rocker (4a); - a second rocker (5) with a first end region (5a), an intermediate region (5b), and a second end region (5c), wherein a third strand guiding roller (9) is rotatably mounted in the intermediate region of the second rocker (5b) and the first end region of the traverse (3a) is hinged to the first end region of the second rocker (5a); - and a linear motor (10) which is hinged to both the second end region of the first rocker (4c) and the second end region of the second rocker (5c). |
