AUTOMATIC SCORE DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR TABLE TENNIS AND METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a system and method for automatically displaying table tennis scores. More specifically, the system includes a score measuring unit measures the left and right surface vibration values generated by a table tennis ball touching a table to sense the vibration caused by the touch. The system calculates the score of each team by the table court area having the vibration sensed for the last time according to the sequence of the court areas supposed to have the sensed vibration and whether the vibration is sensed in the same court area continuously. The system transmits the calculated score signals through short-range wireless communication in order to enable a score display unit to display the scores of both teams according to the score signals received from the score measuring unit through the short-range wireless communication.
