METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING STORAGE DEVICE OPERATIONS BY A HOST DEVICE

A method for managing a work of a storage device by a host device and a system thereof are provided. The method for managing a work of a storage device by a host device comprises the following steps of: enabling a control device to receive at least one work command having a high priority from a host device and information of pausing one or more logical units; triggering a pause command to pause the one or more logical units if the priority of the received work command is high; and triggering a resume command to resume execution of the one or more paused logical units if the work command with a higher priority is executed. The method for managing a work of a storage device by a host device can reduce data traffic for a work having a high priority to quickly execute the work having the high priority.
