<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that the conventional hood panel for an automobile has partially excessive or insufficient rigidity and does not have an appropriate structure because of same collision conditions in the whole range, and therefore, to provide a hood panel for an automobile capable of suppressing local deformation while maintaining high rigidity and achieving a good balance of rigidity by considering appropriate collision conditions in accordance with a collision portion. <P>SOLUTION: In the hood panel for an automobile made of an aluminum alloy, an inner panel is provided with a projected portion viewed from an engine room side, the projected portion having an approximately trapezoidal cross-sectional shape, and with a rib-like recessed portion having also an approximately trapezoidal cross-sectional shape and close and opposing to an outer panel, wherein the recessed portion encloses four sides of the projected portion and the projected portion is extended in the longitudinal direction of the hood panel. Information about an improving means for suppressing the displacement amount of a pedestrian head and for enhancing the rigidity of the panel by controlling the depth of the recessed portion is acquired, and the shape and structure of the inner panel is optimized on the basis of the information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
