The controller (228) reduces an illuminance of the auxiliary light distribution pattern (Hi1, Hi2, Hi3, Hi4) when a speed of the vehicle (300), on which the vehicle headlamp apparatus (210) is mounted, is in a pedestrian blinding speed range.
