<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus 100 which decreases the bias of the toner loading amount in the line width direction in developing a linear toner image Q, and is thereby capable of increasing the accuracy of positioning an image using the linear toner image. <P>SOLUTION: A pattern detection sensor 7 detects reflection light of a linear toner image transferred on an intermediate transfer belt 9. A control part 101 executes an adjustment mode which adjusts a position of the image by transferring the linear toner image from a photosensitive drum 1a onto the intermediate transfer belt 9 and detecting the linear toner image by the pattern detection sensor 7. The circumferential velocity difference between the photosensitive drum 1a and a developing sleeve 41 in a positioning mode is closer to 1 than the circumferential velocity difference between the photosensitive drum 1a and the developing sleeve 41 in image formation. The circumferential velocity of the developing sleeve 41 in the positioning mode is 0.8 to 1.2 times the circumferential velocity of the photosensitive drum 1a. On the other hand, the circumferential velocity of the developing sleeve 41 in image formation is more than two times the circumferential velocity of the photosensitive drum 1a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
