PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a telop other than a stationary displayed telop accurately at high speed.SOLUTION: A telop detection method includes: dividing a frame image group constituting video data into plurality along a time axis; from frame images in each divided frame image group, detecting a stationary displayed telop area displayed over all video images; applying a mask image to mask the position of the stationary displayed telop area to the frame images in each frame image group; and from the frame images after the mask image is applied thereto, detecting each telop area in parallel on the basis of each frame image group. |
