摘要 An automobile body structure is provided with: a pair of left and right rear frames (34) made of metal and affixed to a body rear portion made of fiber reinforced resin; a pair of left and right shock absorbing members (35) made of fiber reinforce resin, having a linear and hollow cross-sectional configuration and extending rearward from the pair of left and right rear frames (34); and a cross member (42) having a closed cross section with both ends in a vehicle width direction connected to rear ends of the pair of left and right shock absorbing members (35). Thus, when the cross member (42) is subjected to collision stress due to an offset rear surface collision, the collision stress is reliably transmitted to the pair of left and right shock absorbing members (35) via the cross member (42), which has closed cross section and high strength. Front ends of the pair of left and right shock absorbing members (35) are connected to the rear frames (34), which are made of metal and have high strength. Accordingly, the collision stress is born by the rear frames (34), whereby the pair of left and right shock absorbing members (35) can be reliably crushed, thereby enhancing the shock absorb effect.
