The present invention relates to an antibacterial and insect-killing peptide and, more specifically, to an Apis cerana-derived inhibitor cysteine knot (AcICK) which functions as an antifungal and insect-killing toxin. According to the present invention, the ICK peptide is based on an initial discovery of an antibacterial and insect-killing function of the ICK peptide derived from Apis cerana which is a native Eastern honey bee. In addition, the peptide is also composed of an amino acid sequence represented by sequence number 2. The present invention further relates to a use thereof. |
