Embodiments of the present invention, relating to the communications field, disclose a paging optimization method, apparatus, and system, so as to ensure that a terminal normally receives a paging message sent by a system. A specific solution is: receiving a first paging message sent by a core network node, where the first paging message is used to page a terminal; and sending control information with enhanced coverage and/or a second paging message with enhanced coverage to the terminal in response to the first paging message. The present invention is used in a paging optimization process. |
