An objective of the present invention is to provide a connector which can prevent damage to a part composing a connector and determine a position of the part even if the part is small and thin. To achieve the objective, the connector comprises: a metal part; a contact assembly comprising a body to fix a plurality of contacts; and a housing to insert the contact assembly in a connector insertion direction to accommodate the contact assembly. The metal part comprises: a female unit elongated in an arrangement direction of the contacts; an L-shaped unit bent in a direction perpendicular to both the elongation direction of the female unit and the connector insertion direction of the connector, wherein an end surface thereof in a connector separation direction comes in contact with only a side wall of a concave portion of the housing if connected to the housing; and a pressing unit which is elongated from an end surface of the L-shaped unit in the connector insertion direction in a forward direction of the elongation direction of the female unit or a reverse direction of the elongation direction of the female unit, and protrudes from a hole to come in contact with only a side wall of a grooved portion of the body if connected to the housing and the body. |
