METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHANNEL ESTIMATION AND EQUALIZATION IN QAM-FBMC SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a method for channel estimation and equalization in a cellular environment based on a QAM-FBMC transmitting/receiving technique. A method of transmitting a signal in a transmitter comprises: transmitting information for channel estimation to a receiver; receiving channel relation information from the receiver; selecting a first filter and a second filter to be used for transmission of a signal according to the received channel relation information; uniformly mapping an RS on a subcarrier corresponding to the first filter and a subcarrier corresponding to the second filter in the event that performance difference between the first filter and the second filter does not exist; mapping, with weight, the RS on the subcarrier corresponding to the filter having higher performance in the event that the performance difference between the first filter and the second filter exists; and transmitting a transmission signal including the mapped RS. The method may enhance performance of the channel estimation by mapping, uniformly or with weight to the filter, the RS according to features of the two filters in the cellular environment based on the QAM-FBMC transmitting/receiving technique.
