The method involves pressing a planar plastic foam board (10) in a thickness direction by reversibly compressing the foam board and by irreversibly compressing the foam board to a thickness by using pressing rollers (13). The foam board is heated before the pressing such that the foam board has surface temperature in a range between 50 and 75 degree Celsius. The foam board is pressed within a housing (5) for collecting and controlled discharging of foaming agent from the foam plate, where the foam board comprises a front-sided surface (11) and a rear-sided surface (12). An independent claim is also included for a planar plastic foam board. |
