The present invention relates to a functional composition for preventing, alleviating, and treating lower urinary tract symptoms by using a rooibos extract and a complex extract of rooibos and dandelions. The present invention can mitigate the inflation of a prostate gland in case of enlarged prostate, lower the level of inflammation in the prostate tissue like existing chemical substances, and reduce the level of the prostate-specific antigen in a serum used as an indicator of the enlarged prostate. The present invention also is effective in alleviating the symptoms of overactive bladder syndrome in male and female patients.
