<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device having a plurality of resonant wavelengths. <P>SOLUTION: An optical device 10 includes: a core layer 12 for propagating light; a resonance part 14 for resonating the light propagated through the core layer 12; and a resonance wavelength modulation layer 16 extending along the core layer 12 while changing its width. The resonance part 14 includes diffraction gratings 13 provided at both sides in a longitudinal direction of the core layer 12, or a plurality of ring type optical waveguides 17 arranged in a manner to be able to connect to the light propagated through the core layer 12.
