The present invention provides an adaptive automatic adjustable headrest. The adaptive automatic adjustable headrest connects a sensor unit and a first and a second electrode disposed in a headrest by a switch which switches according to a prescribed time to measure a charge amount produced in each electrode if the head of a passenger comes in contact with the headrest by the first and the second electrode, calculates a measurement value of a movement height of the headrest by two charge amount values measured on the electrodes without interference, and determines whether the passenger boards, a sitting height of the passenger, and whether the head of the passenger comes in contact with the headrest or is separated from the headrest to set a height of the headrest suitable for a physical condition of the passenger.
