The present invention relates to a novel cnidium vein yellowing virus gene found in Ligusticum chuanxiong HORT. More specifically, the present invention relates to a cnidium vein yellowing virus gene comprising a base sequence represented by sequence number 1 and a base sequence represented by sequence number 2, a recombinant vector comprising the cnidium vein yellowing virus gene, and a host cell transformed by the recombinant vector. The gene of the present invention can contribute to the distribution of disease-free host plants including Ligusticum chuanxiong HORT., and also to quality improvement.
