According to the existing CEC function, in order to select either using "One Touch Play" function to display, by compulsion, a display window over the full screen or using a function, which is capable of displaying two or more windows, to display an image in only one of those windows, performing a setting on the television set side by use of a remote controller or the like has to be done, which requires much time and effort. Apart from a message that is transmitted from a source device side during the use of "One Touch Play" function, a message, which means "to display, by compulsion, an image, which is transmitted from the source device, in only one of a plurality of display windows", is set. If a sink device, which has received this message, has a function of displaying multiple windows, then the sink device displays, in only one of those multiple display windows, the image of an input terminal connected to the source device that is the message transmission source, while continuing to display, in the other display windows, images having been displayed therein. |
