HEAT-RESISTANT, NONFLAMMABLE, COATED SEPARATOR AND BATTERY

An embodiment of the present invention provides a separator including a polyolefin-based base film and a heat-resistant porous layer including a binder formed on one surface or both surfaces of the base film. The binder includes a polymer composed of a repeating unit containing a first component and a second component. The first component includes at least one between tetraphosphate and phosphonate. The second component includes nitrogen. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the separator with high thermal resistance, flame resistance, an excellent adhesive strength to the base film, and excellent oxidation resistance and including inorganic particles of the heat-resistant porous layer with improved dispersibility and to provide an electrochemical cell using the separator.
